Lakeside, CA — The Maine Avenue Revitalization Association (MARA) hosted its first annual Taste of Lakeside on Tuesday, April 8, bringing together food lovers, local businesses, and community supporters for an evening of flavor and purpose.
The event served as a fundraiser to support MARA’s ongoing efforts to restore and preserve the charm of historic downtown Lakeside. With 100 tickets sold, the event was a sold-out success.
Ten local restaurants joined in to showcase their specialties, offering guests a variety of tastes from around the neighborhood. Participating restaurants included Eastbound Bar & Grill, Lakeside VFW, Yogurt Barn, Cali Stack Burgers and Grill, Caffeine Queens, Kunduz Kabobs & Pizza, La Palapa Mexican Restaurant, and Ottavio’s.
Organizers say they’re already looking forward to next year’s event. With strong support from local businesses and residents, MARA hopes to continue growing this tradition while building a more vibrant downtown for everyone.
