East County Business News – Brady family provides $2 million for new Boys and Girls Club in La Mesa

The Boys & Girls Clubs of East County Foundation has announced that Mary Alice and Ron Brady have pledged $2 million toward an $8.9 million development campaign that will build a new 25,000-square-foot Boys & Girls Club, to be called the Brady Family Clubhouse, in La Mesa on the campus of La Mesa Middle School.
Jerry Fazio, Foundation executive director, said the fundraising campaign will also provide resources to refresh the seven-year-old La Mesa Teen Center, located on the same school campus, and build a permanent endowment fund that will provide ongoing funding for both the La Mesa Teen Center and Brady Family Clubhouse. He said the two facilities will have the capacity to serve up to 400 La Mesa boys and girls, ages 5 to 18, each day.
