El Cajon native is named president of National City Mile of Cars

East County and San Diego native Jenifer Ball of Ball Auto Center has been named 2013-2014 president of the National City Mile of Cars (MOC) board of directors. It’s the first time in the MOC board’s 59-year history that a woman will serve as board president and she is the third-generation member from the same family to serve on the MOC board of directors.

Jenifer’s father, John Ball, 59, also served as MOC board president in 1983-1984. Plus, Jenifer’s grandfather and John’s father, Dave Ball, 80, served on the MOC board in the 1980s.

“I have big shoes to fill and very big expectations for myself as a third-generation Ball family member to serve on the board,” said Jenifer, 33, who previously served as MOC board treasurer. “I’m also very excited to spread the message that the automotive industry can be a great career for women.”

Jenifer attended Vista Grande Elementary School and Christian Middle School and High School in El Cajon. She graduated in 2001 from the University of San Diego with a bachelor’s degree in communications. Today, she serves as general manager of Ball Auto Center’s Acura franchise.
