Sharp HealthCare has announced it will provide free health screenings this summer at the Santee Library, 9225 Carlton Hills Blvd. The screenings will take about 15 minutes and will measure several key health indicators, including cholesterol, blood sugar, body mass index (BMI), and blood pressure. Sharp also will provide personalized strategies to improve overall health and well-being. No appointment is needed. All adults over the age of 18 are welcome to participate. Sharp will not retain any of the information.
The free screenings in Santee are part of Sharp HealthCare’s effort to give free health screenings at 60 locations to 5,000 San Diegans through September. It is reportedly the largest initiative of its kind in San Diego. Screenings will be provided from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on the following dates: Friday, Jun 28, Friday, July 26, Saturday, July 27, Saturday, Aug. 10, and Friday, Sept. 13; and from 2 to 6 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 12; and Thursday, Sept. 12.
