Heritage of the Americas Museum celebrates 20-year anniversary with art show

As part of its 20-year anniversary celebration throughout this year, the Heritage of the Americas Museum, a cultural and educational facility featuring historic art, culture and the natural history of the Americas, will host a fine art show, sale and reception from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. on Friday, April 26. The museum, which opened in January 1993, is located on the Cuyamaca College campus, 12110 Cuyamaca College Dr. West, El Cajon.
Thirteen artists will attend the art show to show and sell their paintings, with 20 percent of sales donated to the museum. In addition, each artist will donate one piece of their artwork for a live auction with all the proceeds benefiting the museum. Among the participating artists: Bob Berry of El Cajon; Gloria Chadwick of Dehesa Valley; Fred Gregory of San Carlos; Todd Howe of La Mesa; Ray Johnson of Cody, Wyo.; Jack Jordan of El Cajon; Diana Kam of Rancho San Diego; James Kermott of Encinitas; Lee Kromschroeder of Escondido; Gene Locklear of Rancho San Diego; Mark Lueck of Rancho San Diego; Mark Martensen of Chula Vista; and, Chris Mummert of Lakeside.
