Event organizers include the California Employment Development Department, Santee Chamber of Commerce, City of Santee and East County Career Center. The Career Center, part of the Grossmont Union High School District, under the direction of the Adult Education Department, serves the community by providing individuals the guidance and resources necessary to achieve employment success and to deliver quality workforce services to employers. Founded in 1977, it was the first career center created in San Diego County to provide a one-stop shop environment for career planning and job search assistance.
Jones represents the 77th District, which includes the communities of Santee, El Cajon, Lakeside, La Mesa, Crest, Ramona and Alpine.
