La Mesa apartments sold for $4.42 million

The 28-unit La Paloma apartment complex, at 8171 Vincetta Drive in La Mesa, has been sold for $4.42 million. The transaction involved payment of $2,208,500 and assumption of a March 2007 loan originally for $2,385,000. The buyer was Thomas L. Ragland, trustee of the Thomas L. Ragland Trust, 1243 Cypress Court, San Diego. The sellers of the property were Steven Dale Andrew Huffman and Leslie Paige Huffman, trustees of a family trust, and Steven Huffman, as co-trustee of the Carolyn Christine Koon Separate Property Trust. Steve Huffman and Chad Bramwell, of the San Diego office of Hendricks & Partners, represented the buyer and sellers. The unit mix consists of one studio, 11 one-bedroom units and 16 two-bedroom, two-bath units. Amenities include 11 double-car garages, a swimming pool, sun deck, barbecue and picnic areas, and a laundry facility. The two-level, approximately 23,837-square-foot apartment was constructed in 1978 on a 1.41-acre lot.
