The Grossmont Union High School District has awarded broadcasting rights to air football, basketball and baseball games to Alpine-based East County Broadcasting Corp., operators of KRLY/107.9-FM. The first “game-of-the-week” will air on Aug. 31. Games can be heard live over the air or www.My1079.com. Games also will be be podcast on the My1079.com website.
Established in 1920, the Grossmont Union High School District provides education to over 20,000 students in grades 9-12. It includes the El Cajon Valley, El Capitan, Granite Hills, Grossmont, Helix Charter, Monte Vista, Mount Miguel, Santana, Steele Canyon Charter, West Hills, and Valhalla high schools.
