Wells Fargo & Co. (NYSE: WFC) has announced improvements to its redesigned 12,000 ATMs, including the 541 machines in Southern California, 300 in San Diego County and the 40 located in the East County. The new ATM interface includes “favorites” based on the customer’s ATM transaction history and preferences and a “balance dashboard” for at-a-glance account balances. Wells Fargo’s ATM Cash Tracker also now automatically appears on the main ATM screen. This feature allows customers to visually track their monthly ATM withdrawals, set a monthly withdrawal target, view details about how much they withdrew the prior month and their average over the past 12 months. Ernesto Arredondo, San Diego area president, said the new ATM technology is faster, easier and more convenient for customers.
