The Challenge Center in La Mesa has revealed several auction items that will be available to the highest bidder at its 16th annual Comedy Night Gala fundraiser to be held on Saturday, Sept. 21 at the Allen Airways Flying Museum at Gillespie Field, 2020 N. Marshall in El Cajon. Among the auction items: vacations to Cabo San Lucas, Desert Hot Springs and two tickets on Southwest Airlines; entertainment tickets to the symphony, zoo, museums, sky sailing, fishing, horse races and “The Tonight Show with Jay Leno;” jewelry and home furnishings merchandise. Additional donations of professional services and merchandise for the silent auction are welcomed. Also, sponsorship opportunities are available. Tickets for Comedy Night begin at $200 per person. Reception and silent auction will begin at 5:30 p.m., followed by dinner at 7 p.m. The program will include special recognition to Ed Burr, president/CEO and founder of Edco Disposal Corp., and a performance by comedienne and actress Vicki Lawrence.
