The East County Economic Development Council (ECEDC), a local non-profit organization, is hosting a bus tour of East County on Wednesday, Sept. 25. The tour will focus on new economic development business opportunities, including what’s new and future plans in the cities of El Cajon, La Mesa, Lemon Grove and Santee, as well as the communities of Alpine, Lakeside, Rancho San Diego and Spring Valley. Jo Marie Diamond, ECEDC president/CEO, said bus tour attendees should include business and community leaders, developers, brokers, investors and bankers. The bus tour will begin and end at Hooley’s Irish Pub and Grill at the Grossmont Center mall, 5500 Grossmont Center Dr., La Mesa. The bus will depart at 8:15 a.m. and return to Hooley’s at 12:15 p.m. A mid-morning break is scheduled at SportsPlex USA in Santee. Space is limited. Reservations are requested by Sept. 20. Cost to attend is $25 per person for ECEDC members and $35 for non-members. Bus tour sponsors include SDG&E, Cox Communications, Hooley’s, SportsPlex USA, Dentt Properties, Republic Services, US Bank and Grossmont-Cuyamaca Community College District.
