The Parkway Plaza mall, 415 Parkway Plaza in El Cajon, is hosting a holiday community storefront operated by the El Cajon Police Department through the end of the year. Located near the carousel and northwest entrance, the storefront features law enforcement displays, photographs and safety information. Also on display is a vintage 1942 El Cajon Police vehicle. Mc Gruff the Crime Fighting Dog is scheduled for appearances. This storefront provides a greater connection with the public and enhances police presence at the mall, according to Monica Zech, City of El Cajon public information officer.
