Each morning at El Capitan, as the sun rises, our fields and classrooms come to life. It’s a new day full of possibilities, a story that roots back to the 1920s at Grossmont High School.
Our story is a joyful journey of growth and discovery. From the early days at Grossmont, to El Cajon Valley in the ’50s, and blooming here at El Capitan in the ’60s.
Think of the Martins, the Walkers, the Dyers, the Bowmans, the Buckels, the Priests. They’re not just names; they’re chapters in our vibrant history. They’ve planted more than just crops; they’ve sown seeds of hope, friendship, and a lasting love for agriculture.
Each person who has walked these fields, who has shared in this learning, adds a unique color to our vibrant tapestry.
We’re here to do more than just learn farming. We’re here to grow joyfully as leaders, as friends, as a family that reaches far beyond our school’s gates.
Now, it’s our chapter. We get to nurture this legacy with the same enthusiasm and care. We’re ensuring that future FFA members can share in these joyful experiences, these friendships, these invaluable lessons.
We are the Future Farmers of America. More than that, we’re joyous keepers of a bright and hopeful legacy. A legacy we celebrate, cherish, and share, with every sunrise, every laugh, every harvest.
If you want to see the results of our dedication in FFA, 4-H, and Grange, join us at the Eastern San Diego County Junior Fair. It’s a celebration where our hard work and learning come to life. Here, amidst the excitement, you’ll find a showcase of not just our ag projects and animals, but also our brightest smiles, our strongest bonds, and our most enduring commitments to agriculture. This fair isn’t just an event; it’s a display of our community’s heart and the fruits of our collective efforts in agriculture education.
